Siewli Stark, Founder

Siewli is passionate about healing. It is through her own healing journey that she has found hope, strength, and confidence in her ability to navigate this ever changing and complex human life. Her journey of wholeness started with embodied practices, and these practices have changed her life. She went from being told that her body was “too messed up to fix,” to feeling strong, resilient, and full of energy and vitality.

Siewli is an empathic bodyworker, healer, and teacher with over 10 years of experience and training. She became a yoga teacher in 2014, and through yoga was able to rekindle her natural instinct to use touch for healing. Siewli studied with Ananda Apfelbaum, author of Thai Massage Sacred Bodywork. She continues to study with many accomplished masters in the field of hands-on healing including Dr. Roger Jahnke, Daisy Lee, Li Junfeng, Anton Baraschi, Master Mantak Chia, Lee Holden, and Karin Sorvik. Siewli has a BA in Psychology from Rutgers University and has received over 2000 hours of training in Yoga, Yoga therapy, Qigong, and energy work.

Siewli founded Body Wisdom Sanctuary to remind others to listen to and trust in the body’s innate wisdom to heal itself. Modern medicine has given us great interventions, but it is still the body that produces the most complex and effective medicine. The easiest way to awaken this natural healing potential, this innate wisdom of the body, is through RELAXATION.
