AS WE REIMAGINE OUR BUSINESS DURING THE TIME OF COVID-19, WE ARE FOCUSED ON CREATING THE SAFEST POSSIBLE SPACE FOR OUR CLIENTS AND US, THE PRACTITIONERS. WE WANT TO SHARE THE CHANGES WE ARE IMPLEMENTING TOWARD THIS ULTIMATE GOAL:

UPDATES TO CLIENT VISITS:

  • We encourage our clients to wear masks during their entire visit at Body Wisdom Sanctuary.

  • Massage table and accessories will be wiped down with a strong, fast-acting disinfectant in between each client. This is one of the reasons why we do not schedule clients back to back, we want to have sufficient time to sanitize and get the treatment room in perfect condition before our next client arrives.

SPACE SANITIZATION AND VENTILATION:

  • We've added Certified HEPA air purifiers to our rooms. While there is a lot of ongoing research about the effectiveness of air purifiers, recent research suggests they can reduce the risk of transmission of other viruses similar to Covid-19. Certified HEPA filters specifically can be very effective, certified to capture 99.7% of particles.

  • Windows and doors will be opened as much as possible to let in fresh air. We will also be regularly using aromatherapy diffuser, and smudging sticks like white sage bundles or palo santo to further cleanse the air.

  • Each treatment room including all surfaces will be disinfected between each client. Longer gaps between clients will let in fresh air and give disinfectants time to work.

  • Bathrooms, doorknobs, shared surfaces, will be cleaned regularly throughout the day.

HEALTH SCREENING:

  • We ask that clients complete intake forms ahead of their arrival. If forms are not complete upon arrival, clients will be asked to fill them out before heading into their session and the session will still need to end on time.

  • If you are feeling sick, develop any concerning symptoms prior to your visit, or have had any exposure to Covid-19, we ask that you get in touch with us as soon as possible and reschedule your session.

CANCELLATION & PAYMENT 

  • Covid-19-Related Cancellations: We have relaxed our 24-hour cancellation policy when it comes to reasons related to Covid-19. If a client feels at any point before the start of their appointment that they have become a potential risk, they will not be charged for canceling. We ask that clients let us know as soon as issues arise out of respect for the practitioner.
    All other Cancellations: If you must cancel for any non-sickness reason, we ask that you give us 24 hours notice. If you notify us within 24 hours, we charge a fee of $100.

  • Payments can take place online. Clients also have the option of paying in person before or after their session.

  • We encourage tipping via Venmo so that there is less handling of paper bills.

YOUR VISIT:

  • We ask that clients arrive 5 minutes before the time of the appointment.

  • Clients are encouraged to wear a mask throughout their entire visit.

  • We try to avoid booking clients back to back, so that we give our clients plenty of time to transition back into the world and give ourselves (the practitioners) time to pause, rest, clean/sanitize, get ourselves and the space ready for the next client. This isn’t an invitation to stay for an extra 30 mins! So please respect this time as a gentle transition for you, the client, as well as for practitioner and the next client.
